I was asked one time by a person who’d never been to church, “How do I get a ticket to come to your church? And how much does it cost?”
During our conversation, I came to realize that peoples’ perception of what goes on inside a church is often formed by watching either a very “religious”, somewhat spooky, ceremony on TV or a fanatic sweat soaked preacher, trying to out yell the devil!
The fact is, neither are representative of what goes on in most Canadian churches. At Northside, you’ll meet people just like yourself. We reflect our multicultural and multigenerational neighborhood in Coquitlam. Our Sunday services are open to anyone (no ticket necessary!). We will warmly greet you, but not embarrass you in any way. We think of you as our guest.
The 75 minutes services (at 9:30 and 11:15am) consist of about 30 minutes of contemporary music, a pastoral prayer and then a talk, in which the pastor will apply Bible truth in a practical way to our everyday lives. Guests are invited to sit and observe, or enter in as much as you feel comfortable. There are also age appropriate classes for all children from newborn to grade 12.
We have hosts at the door who will make you feel welcome, show you around and answer any questions you may have. We’d love to meet you on Sunday, but you are welcome to drop by any time Tuesday through Friday to pickup info or ask questions of our friendly receptionist.
