But Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.”
Matthew 19:14, NLT
Here at Northside Church, we are passionate about kids and their joy for life. That’s why we choose to foster a healthy place of growth and development for each and every kid who walks through our doors. We strive to make sure our kids are cared for in a loving environment by adult volunteers who have a heart for God, and for making sure every child experiences, knows, and grows in the love of Jesus. Every Sunday we provide care that includes play, singing together in Lil’ Worship, learning from our Wisdom & Wonder Bible-based curriculum, creative crafts, and age appropriate activities.
We also love to see parents getting involved in our kids program! If you have any questions, concerns, or would like to volunteer with us, please feel free to contact Jae.
Your first visit
Here’s what to expect when visiting Northside KidsZone for the first time:
First, find the area marked for first-time families (in the foyer, left of the coffee bar). There we will meet your family, check your child into our system, and then one of our volunteers will lead your child to their age-appropriate room.
Upon checking in for the first time, we will ask for the following personal information (NOTE: We value your privacy and will not share this information with anyone):
- Parent/guardian name(s)
- Child’s name
- Child’s birthdate
- Home address
- Phone number
- Any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your children
How check-in works
Before Service: You can check-in your child at any available kiosk. After finding your child’s name in the database, you and your child will be given matching name tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you hold on to the matching tag.
After Service: After the service is complete, you will return to your child’s room and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.
During Service: In the event that we need to contact you during the service, you will receive a text or phone call from one of our volunteers. We ask that you exit the auditorium immediately and look for a staff member or volunteer who will direct you to your child’s room.
If pre-registering your child, all entries submitted prior to Saturday at 12:00pm will be ready for the database on Sunday. Otherwise arrive a few minutes earlier on Sunday and register in person!
