Dear Northside Church,

Yesterday, as Pastor Joel was leading us in our weekly Staff meeting, by Zoom, I was realizing that the Church is not limited by space or time. This is “BREAKING NEWS!”  God is everywhere!

I was so encouraged to hear how each of our staff are reaching out in new ways to our church family. Thank you to Andrew who is helping all of us, especially me, with all of our technical needs! Our Youth and Young Adults are meeting by Zoom, with Pastor Greg, and in Chat Rooms, Megan is reaching the parents of our kids with new ways to teach and entertain our children while at home, Pastor Elizabeth and her Care Team are in contact with any who have special needs. All of us are finally getting to those special projects that we hadn’t had time for.

Pastor Joel, as well as our worship team, will be bringing us a special message, from his farm, on Sunday morning at 10 am. We have combined the 2 (in-person) service times to one so that we can better connect with our church family online during these different times.

You can find ALL of the options on how and where to watch the service by visiting our “Church Online” page throughout the week. We’ll be LIVE on our website, YouTube and Facebook Sunday morning at 10:00am.

Click HERE to visit the “Church Online” page.
Share the service with your circle of influence. I believe that we are going to reach more people with the good news, because of Covid 19, than we have ever done before.

That’s the good news! But, of course, we all want to be praying against the virus, as well as for the protection of our families and friends. And please be open to God’s nudgings to call or help anyone who comes to mind. I’m hearing such encouraging stories of people in our church who are reaching out by telephone or Skype to others, who may be lonely or in need. Thank you for being the church!

A couple of other things to note.

Naturally, because we are not meeting in person on Sundays, our offerings are down, and I know that you understand that the expenses of the operation of our church are still necessary to pay, so I’m asking all of us to remain faithful in our tithes, as well as our missions and building giving.

There are four ways that we can give:

1. Go online to www.northsidechurch.ca and find “give”. You’ll see “Pushpay” then just follow the prompts.

2.   If you’d like to give via e-transfer, send your gift to giving@northsidechurch. Separately, please email your private & confidential email address + password to the same email address. That will ensure your privacy.

3.   If you’re older, like me, you can still mail your cheques to Northside Church:
1460 Lansdowne Drive
Coquitlam BC V3E 2N9

4.   You can call the church at 604-942-7711 and ask Meina to set up automatic withdrawal from your Visa or MasterCard.

Our Building plans are still intact and we will begin again as soon as we are able. We will continue with our presentations to the church when we meet together again.

If you haven’t had a chance to tune in yet, I’ve challenged the church to be reading through all of the 150 Psalms over these 50 days. As of today, I’ve done my 8th video devotion on Facebook LIVE. Every day at around 10am (Sundays at 2:00pm) I’ll be live for a few minutes teaching on one of the psalms that we are reading. Today we’re looking at psalms 22 to 24. Tomorrow, psalms 25 to 27 and so on. You can find the videos on our Facebook page herewww.facebook.com/pg/northsidefoursquarechurch/videos/

Well I think that’s the news for the day. I’ll write again next week. And please, if you have any questions, need help, have a prayer request or a praise report, please write to or call the church office.

I love you all and pray for God’s blessings on your physical and spiritual health and wholeness.

Love and blessings

Pastor Barry
