Scars result from the biological process of wound repair in the skin, as well as in other organs and tissues of the body. Thus, scarring is a natural part of the healing process.
We all have scars on our skin that remind us of childhood accidents. But likely we also have scars on our soul that are reminders of some trauma, either in childhood or adulthood. Scars are God given gifts from which we can learn, mature and help others in their growth process.
A wound is an injury to living tissue caused by a cut, blow, or other impact, typically one in which the skin is cut or broken.
Wounds in our souls are open tissue that are raw and unhealed. Something has happened that cut deep in our mind or emotions, and when we, or someone else, touch it, there is a natural hurt in involuntary reaction to pull back.
Don’t say, “I will get even for this wrong. ”Wait for the Lord to handle the matter. Proverbs 20:22
I saw that it was overgrown with nettles. It was covered with weeds, and its walls were broken down. Proverbs 24:31

The invasion and multiplication of microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, and parasites that are not normally present within the body. An infection may cause symptoms and be clinically apparent. An infection may remain localized, or it may spread through the blood or lymphatic vessels to become systemic in the entire body.
Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and give no opportunity to the devil… Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamour and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. The way bring healing to an infected wound is through confession, repentance and receiving God’s forgiveness, of both, ourselves and the person(s) who may have wounded us.
Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit. Then I will teach transgressors your ways, and sinners will return to you. Psalms 51:10-13 ESV
